Patrick Mahomes' family drama: Brother Jackson charged with sexual battery

Patrick Mahomes' younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, has found himself in hot water. The 22-year-old was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of battery in Johnson County, Kansas on Tuesday. The alleged altercation took place at a restaurant in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park, Kansas, back in February.

According to reports, Jackson Mahomes was released on Wednesday after posting a bond of $100,000. The next online hearing has been scheduled for May 11, during which Jackson will not be allowed to discuss his case publicly.

Although the probable cause affidavit has not yet been made available to the public, The Kansas City Star reported that police confirmed investigating the incident involving Jackson Mahomes back in February.

While Jackson Mahomes' attorney, Brandan Joseph Davies, declined to comment due to the court's orders, he released a statement in March denying the accusations against his client.

Aspen Vaughn, the owner of the restaurant in question, stated that Jackson Mahomes had been a frequent visitor to her establishment, where her stepdaughter works. However, things took a turn for the worse when Jackson allegedly grabbed her by the neck with enough force to leave a faint bruise. Vaughn provided The Star with a photo of the injury and a video showing Jackson Mahomes grabbing her by the throat and forcibly kissing her at least twice.

The Chiefs, for their part, declined to comment, citing the fact that Jackson Mahomes is a relative of a player but not a member of the organization. Patrick Mahomes has also remained silent on the matter and has not commented on Twitter.
