Ravens make Lamar Jackson highest-paid player in NFL history
In a historic move for both the Baltimore Ravens and the NFL, Lamar Jackson has signed a five-year contract extension worth $260 million, making him the highest-paid player in league history. The Ravens and Jackson had agreed to the terms of the deal last week, and the quarterback officially signed the contract at the Under Armour Performance Center on Thursday.

Jackson's impressive record of 45-16 (.738) is the fourth-best of any quarterback in the Super Bowl era, surpassed only by Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Roger Staubach. In four of his five seasons with the Ravens, the team has made it to the playoffs. With new additions to the team such as Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor, and first-round pick Zay Flowers, Jackson now has a deep and talented group of wide receivers to work with.
Negotiations for the contract extension have been ongoing for nearly two years, but Jackson's focus has always been on his goal of helping the Ravens win another Super Bowl title. With this historic contract now behind him, Jackson can fully dedicate himself to bringing a championship to Baltimore.
