In a candid post-suspension revelation, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors expressed no remorse over the actions that led to his recent five-game suspension. Green defended his decision to put Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a headlock on November 14, asserting that it was a move purely in defense of his teammate Klay Thompson.

Speaking after his first practice since the suspension, Green emphasized that he lives without regrets and would come to a teammate's defense whenever necessary. The incident occurred just 100 seconds into the November 14 game when a scuffle between Thompson and Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels unfolded. Green's intervention in the form of a headlock on Gobert aimed to protect Thompson.

While Green acknowledged their past interactions, he did not explicitly state if they played a role in his actions.
