Buffalo Bills' Von Miller Turns Himself In After Assault Allegations on Pregnant Person

Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller turned himself in to the Glenn Heights Police Department following the issuance of an arrest warrant for assaulting a pregnant person. Miller posted a $5,000 bond after being taken to the DeSoto regional jail and subsequently released.

The incident unfolded in uptown Dallas, responding to a "major disturbance" call at 11 a.m. local time on Wednesday. The victim, reported to be Miller's longtime girlfriend, suffered minor injuries during the altercation but did not require hospitalization.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Miller allegedly grabbed the victim's neck multiple times, applied pressure during an argument, and caused her to fall by pulling her hair and extracting a chunk. The victim exhibited "minor abrasions" on her left hand and bruising on her abdomen, left bicep, and neck, consistent with applied pressure.

Assaulting a pregnant person is a third-degree felony charge in Texas. The Bills, in response to the incident, issued a statement acknowledging awareness of the situation and expressed their intent to gather more information before making further comments.

Miller, a seasoned 34-year-old linebacker, is in his second season with the Buffalo Bills after stints with the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams. The linebacker had faced a criminal investigation in 2021 while with the Broncos, but charges were not filed, and details remained undisclosed.
